Altar Rosary Society - Minutes
February 28, 2008

Prior to the meeting the members assembled 50 small Easter buckets to be donated to Catholic Charities.

Fran Grace, Treasurer reported a $700.00 profit on the cheesecake fundraiser. Current account balance = $2,365.00.

Thank you notes were read and passed around from the Sisters at the Villa. Thanking the society for their Christmas gifts and wonderful time had by all at the Mass and social following in December. In addition, to the Valentine's dinner on February 10 th at the Villa.

By unanimous vote it was decided that $300.00 would be donated to Sr. Assumpta and Germano Caggia for gas to continue their mission of helping the poor and needy residents in the area.

Joanne Hofstetter reported on the retreat for women to be held at the Villa Rosella on 4/13/08. For additional information contact Sr. Bernadine.

Joanne and Lorna Hofstetter along with Joanne and Laura Tolotti will clean the altar for the month of March

Michele Bergamo, Gerry Volpe and Judy Tamagni volunteered to be the nominating committee for 2008-2009.

Gerry Volpe and her daughter have taken many pictures of the altar and will be looking into Christmas cards as a fundraiser. More information will follow at the next meeting.

The Run for Aaron is scheduled for April 19 th at Rosary Hall. Diane Ploch spoke to members regarding volunteering the day of the run. Members are needed to cut up fruit. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Diane.

Lenten Soups continue each week during lent. The Altar Rosary Society will provide the soups on March 14 th , which is also the day of the tableau, therefore it is anticipated that additional soups are needed. Anyone wishing to make a soup should contact Joanne Tolotti.

The next meeting is scheduled for 3/26 at which time a regular meeting is scheduled and Carmie from Carmie's Pottery Paint Works will join use with ceramic crosses and flower dishes to be painted and later fired by Carmie. Anyone interested in participating in the ceramic activity need to contact Joanne Hofstetter before hand to register and pay. The cost is $15.00.

Diane Ploch and Charlene Ruberti will provide desserts for the March meeting.
